If an Instagram video, Reel, or photo download fails to process, it is almost always due to privacy restrictions, expired CDN tokens, or link formatting issues. Here is a checklist to diagnose and resolve the issue immediately.

1. The Account is Private or Restricted The Cause: Instagram does not allow public OpenGraph metadata access on private profiles. The Fix: Check if the account has a padlock icon next to the username. If the account is private, compliant web tools cannot and will not retrieve the media.

3. Expired Instagram CDN Edge Tokens The Cause: Instagram generates temporary signed URL tokens (`&_nc_ht=scontent...`) on media files that expire after a set time. The Fix: Refresh the original Instagram post in your browser, copy a fresh link, and paste it into MediaSave immediately.

4. Browser Cache or Script Blocker Interference The Cause: Overly aggressive ad blockers or third-party extensions might block API fetch requests. The Fix: Try downloading in an Incognito / Private window or disable extensions that intercept network requests.
